Ashton Winger weathers rough weekend at Volusia Speedway Park

Returning to the series for a full-time run, Ashton Winger traveled to Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) on Friday afternoon for the first night of the Sunshine Nationals with the World of Outlaw Late Model Series.

With over 50 Late Models packed in the pits, Winger fell back in his heat race and last chance showdown which resulted in him missing the main event. Ashton found a little more speed on Saturday evening but was still unable to crack the A-Main field.
