Winger charges to Top-5 finish with World of Outlaws during Dairyland Showdown

Losing Thursday's opener to lingering rain showers, Ashton Winger unloaded his Keyser Manufacturing No. 12 machine at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) for the now two-day Dairyland Showdown.

With 44 World of Outlaw entries on hand, Winger missed his mark in qualifying before charging forward in his heat race. Ashton earned his spot in the $25,000-to-win main event with a B-Main and victory and continued his charge forward in the feature. Ashon went 18th-to-5th over 50-laps and scored his Top-5 finish with the series this season.

For Saturday's finale, Ashton was forced to take a provisional starting spot and once again charged through the field. Winger wound up with a 12th-place outing.

Winger currently sits 13th in the series point standings.
