Oklahoma Driver Scores Sixth Victory of 2025 Season

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (06/10/25) – Another weekend, another trip to victory lane for 18-year-old Ryan Timms and the Liebig Motorsports team.
Timms’ latest triumph came Sunday night at Huset’s Speedway during Metro Construction Night, where he captured his second straight win at the South Dakota oval and sixth overall victory of the 2025 season.

“This race car is so fast,” Timms said. “We need to get a little better earlier in the night, but it’s always pretty close to perfect come A Main time. Hopefully me and Chase put on a pretty good show. It was a lot of fun racing with him.”

The Oklahoma City native’s busy week began Wednesday with a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series appearance at Jackson Motorplex, where he secured the final transfer spot in his heat before advancing two positions in the feature to finish 16th.

On Saturday, Timms returned to the Sprint Car Capital of the World in search of his third consecutive win at Knoxville Raceway. He charged from sixth-to-first in his heat and followed it with a solid fourth-place finish in the night’s main event.
Sunday at Huset’s, Timms set the tone early by outrunning polesitter Mark Dobmeier in his heat race. Starting the 25-lap feature from the second row, he engaged in a spirited battle with Chase Randall. Timms slid into the lead on lap 13, momentarily lost the top spot after a mid-race bobble, then regrouped to reclaim the advantage on lap 19 and cruise to the checkered flag.

“I was really fortunate to have a good starting position,” Timms added. “The outside lane was the preferred lane for the start and I was able to follow Chase through there. We were pretty even in clean air. I was able to find that diamond line in (turns) one and two. That seemed to help me out quite a bit.”

Timms crossed the finish line 0.598 seconds ahead of Randall, with 2024 Huset’s track champion Kaleb Johnson rounding out the podium in third.

Timms is set to return to competition Tuesday at Eagle Raceway for the Kubota High Limit Racing-sanctioned Eagle Nationals, which marks the eighth round of the Roto-Rooter Midweek Series. The marquee event boasts a $55,555 top prize.

From there, Timms will join the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series for a doubleheader at Knoxville Raceway on Friday and Saturday, before wrapping up the weekend Sunday at Huset’s Speedway.
