McCowan second in United Late Model Racing Association opener at Monett Motor Speedway

Staying in his home state of Missouri over the weekend, Dillon McCowan joined the United Late Model Racing Association at Monett (Mo.) Motor Speedway on Friday afternoon for their season opener.

Starting on the pole of the $3,000-to-win main event, McCowan ran runner-up for most of the main event and almost pulled off last lap pass around Scott Crigler but was ultimately forced to settle for a second-place finish.

Making his way to I-55 Raceway (Pevely, Mo.) on Saturday night, Dillon picked up a heat race victory and ran sixth in the 25-lap main event.
