Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series makes first-ever visit to 191 Speedway on July 4th

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (July 1, 2025)—The Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series presented by Slicker Graphics will visit the 24th different race track in series history as it makes its first-ever stop at the Lawson Brothers-owned 191 Speedway in Campton, Ky. to celebrate America’s 249th Birthday on Friday July 4th. The series will race for 40 laps for $5,000-to-win and $500-to-start in the track’s annual Firecracker 40.

At 191 Speedway on July 4, the pits will open at 12:00 pm, the grandstands will open at 3:00 pm, the driver’s meeting will be 7:00 pm and hot laps will roll out at 7:30 pm. In addition to the Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series, the UMP Modifieds, Sport Mods, 4-Cylinders & Crown Vics will all be in action. Adult general admission is $25 while adult pit passes are $45. The 191 Speedway has hosted two Late Model special events (Ultimate Heart of America Series) this season with Derek Fisher & Tristan Chamberlain capturing victories.

The night before the series visits 191 Speedway on July 4, the tour will visit Mudlick Valley Raceway in Wallingford, Ky. on Thursday July 3rd for the 5th Annual 4B4EVER 40 paying $10,000-to-win and $500-to-start, which will mark the 23rd-different series race track.

After the season opener, Derek Fisher of Olympia, Ky. leads the series points over Colten Burdette (leads the Shane Bailey Rookie of the Year Points), Brandon Fouts, Camaron Marlar & Larry Martin Jr. Fisher won the lid-lifter on June 20 at Mountain Motor Speedway.

The tire rule for this event will be: Fronts & Left Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2 & NLMT 3, Right Rear: Hoosier NLMT 3 & 4. The entry fee will be $50. Tow money is $75 for anyone not making the field of 22. The highest finishing Crate Late Model will receive $300, the second-highest Crate in the feature will receive $200 & the third-highest finishing Crate will receive $100 courtesy of the track. This will also be a UMP DIRTcar points race for any competitors wishing to pick up points.
