Midwest Legends Dirt Series
Track ID: 141 Speedway
With the 2nd Midwest Legends Dirt Series season right around the corner, we want to spotlight the tracks we will be visiting throughout the season. Some tracks will be familiar to fans of the MLDS while some tracks will be completely new. Let’s jump in and learn about some fantastic facilities!!
141 Speedway hosts the seventh, sixteenth, twenty-fourth, and twenty-eighth races of the 2025 MLDS season. The track in which Michael Weber took his second win of the season in 2024 will pay host to the four aforementioned races, making it the joint third most visited track of the season.
141 Speedway has a very interesting past. Starting out as an asphalt track in 1960, the track, located in Francis Creek, Wisconsin, remained that way through the years, even surviving a lengthy period being closed from 1990 to 1997. The track would reopen and remain asphalt until 2010, when promoters decided to slap some dirt on it, as seen today. The track has hosted big events such as their Creek series, which pits some of the best of the best against each other in multiple IMCA classes. The track has also hosted the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Dirt Kings Tour, IRA Sprints, and even the 2016 and 2019 INEX Dirt Legend Nationals. The track is set to host its first ever High Limit Sprint Car Series race in 2025.
Michael Weber picked up the lone win in 2024 at the Speedway, with Glenn Mitchell and Jordan Miklas the top three. Adam Zellmer is another driver to watch, having won multiple races at the track in the last three years. Cohen Henze was the hard charger in the 2024 race, up twelve spots in the end.
The 1/3rd mile egg shaped, semi banked clay oval will play host to four dates in 2025. The first night will be along with the IRA Sprint Cars and other classes on May 25th. July 15th the series returns for the King of the Creek event. The Captain of the Creek event on August 12th marks the third date. The final race is scheduled to be on September 13th alongside the IRA Sprint Cars again.
