CAREER 1ST HOVIS RUSH LATE MODEL WINS FOR ZACH KANE & BRIAN NETHERS; GALE RUTH JR SWEEPS RUSH SPRINT ACTION; WILLIAM BAKER JR WINS 2 OF 3 IN RUSH STOCKS

(Pulaski, PA)...Mother Nature finally provided some much-needed sunshine and warmer temperatures for the Mother’s Day weekend which gave the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Racing Series presented by Born2Run the ability to complete events in all four of the five divisions. World of Outlaws competitor, Max Blair, used a break in Super Late Model action to compete in RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series action at both Stateline and Eriez Speedways. Blair scored the win both nights to collect $8,150. Brian Nethers and Zach Kane captured their first career RUSH Late Model victories in City Chevrolet Weekly Series action. Gale Ruth, Jr. swept the weekend’s Hovis RUSH Sprint Car action, while Ed Carley and Josh Wilcox shared the checkered flags in RUSH Pro Mod action. Kaden and William Baker also tallied wins in RUSH Stock Car action.

2023 Russ King Racing Futures Cup Champion Davin Kaiser ventured to the Dog Hollow Speedway on Friday and successfully scored his first career win at the Northern Cambria, Pa. track in RUSH Late Model competition. Defending City Chevrolet Track Pack Champion Mike Laughard finished in the runner-up spot with Noah Brunell finishing third. Tyler Ellenberger and newcomer Colin Adams rounded out the top five.

Brady Wonderling withstood the late race challenges of Paul Grigsby and his brother Jeremy Wonderling to pick up his first career McKean County Raceway win on Friday in RUSH Late Model action. It was his Brady's second City Chevrolet Weekly Series win of 2025. Brad Mesler and Chuck LaFleur completed the top five.

Zach Kane scored his career first RUSH Late Model victory Saturday at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. The Washington, Pa. driver led the feature from the start to claim a well-earned victory over a career best finish by second year RUSH racer Brodie Oravetz. Clinton Hersh, Jacob Billyk, Jr. and Kassidy Kamicker completed the top five.

Ohio Valley Speedway held their second of three RUSH Late Model races of 2025 last Friday night as they part of the Dave Poske's Performance Parts Mid-Ohio Valley Series with Tyler County and Muskingum. Brian Nethers scored the win in his Kryptonite Chassis over Anthony Kincade. George Casto III has a good run to claim third with AJ Spagnuolo and Dalton Adkins finished fourth and fifth respectively.

Veteran Kyle Thomas tallied his first victory of the season at Tyler County Speedway Saturday evening. AJ Spagnuolo was second over MOV points leader Brian Nethers. George Casto III was fourth ahead of RUSH rookie Santino Loretta.

Genesee Speedway opened their 42nd season of racing action on Saturday and defending RUSH Late Model Divisional Champion Dave DuBois left no doubt that he is looking for another championship year. Dubois led the feature from the drop of the green and never looked back. Jon Rivers came home in second followed by Doug Ricotta, Billy DuBois and TJ Downs.

Trevor Collins is two for two in Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model action at Georgetown Speedway in 2025. The Seaford, DE competitor captured Saturday’s 20-lap main event after Friday's program was rained out. Ben Scott, Derek Magee, Robert Smith and Luke Dill completed the first five.

The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series finally got the 2025 season underway on Saturday at Stateline Speedway for the eighth annual "Bill Law Memorial" as a Stateline record 49 cars turned out. Greg Carrico and WoO competitor Max Blair led the field to the green with Carrico taking the lead. A caution slowed the field on the next circuit, but Carrico kept the top spot when the action resumed. Blair slowly cut down Carrico’s lead and was all over the Virginia driver by lap 12. Blair went to the outside on lap 13 and nosed ahead of Carrico with the two racing side-by-side for most of lap 14. Blair weathered two additional cautions and went on to score his 34th career Tour win by 3.391 seconds over Jeremy Wonderling. Demetrios Drellos, Bryce Davis and Austin Allen completed the top five.

The following evening the Tour travelled to Eriez Speedway for a Mother’s Day event with a solid 43 cars on hand. Jeremy Wonderling and Max Blair led the 26-car field to the green with Wonderling gaining the advantage on lap one. The duo raced side-by-side on lap two with Wonderling maintaining the lead over Blair while Austin Allen and Dave Hess, Jr. followed. The event’s lone caution flew on lap 17 when Kurt Stebbins spun. On the restart Wonderling chose the inside line and continued to lead Blair. On lap 20 Blair used the top side of the speedway to power around Wonderling and cruise to his second consecutive victory of the weekend totaling $8,150. Wonderling withstood Hess, Jr.’s challenge to score the runner-up position with Hess, Jr. claiming third. Austin Allen and Demetrios Drellos finished fourth and fifth respectively to complete the top five.

The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Sprint Car kicked off their weekend at Tri-City Raceway Park on Friday with veteran Gale Ruth Jr. picking up the win. John Mollick, Joe Buccola, rookie Cooper Fritz and Zack Wilson completed the top five.

The RUSH Sprint Car teams then ventured south to compete at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway Saturday for another Billy's Garage Weekly Series event. Zach Morrow and Gale Ruth Jr. led the field to the green. Ruth immediately took the lead with Morrow and John Mollick following. The trio quickly separated themselves from the rest of the field with Morrow and Mollick keeping the pressure in Ruth. Ruth drove a flawless race to score his second win in as many days and his first at the Imperial, PA track. Morrow claimed the runner-up spot with Arnie Kent third. Mollick and Luke Mulichak rounded out the top five.

Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro-Mod action at McKean County Raceway saw Steve Dixon score a convincing win in the season opening event. Dixon’s on track Victory Lane interview resulted in his disqualification and Ed Carley was awarded his first career Pro Mod win. Al Brewer, Tyler Oakes, Derek Austin and Josh Canfield completed the top five.

Josh Wilcox picked up the RUSH Pro Mod special event at Stateline Speedway Saturday evening. Wilcox bested Ian Degolier, Tim Peterson, Cody VanGuilder and Josh Canfield.

Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Stock Car competitors also enjoyed three days of racing action. Their weekend began Friday evening at Tri-City Raceway Park with William Baker, Jr. scoring a .181 victory over Raiddan Wilson, Bill Myers, Cameron Kramer and Darr Diegelman. The next evening the Stock Car competitors travelled to Stateline Speedway where Kaden Michael picked up his first win of the season. Darr Diegelman, Cole Strickland, William Baker and Cameron Kramer followed. Baker followed up his win on Friday night at Tri-City capturing the victory at Eriez over Cole Strickland, Raiddan Wilson, Kaden Michael, and Alex Bush.

This weekend Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet Weekly Series is scheduled at Dog Hollow Speedway ($2,000 to-win), Lernerville Speedway ($1,000 to-win) and McKean County Raceway on Friday. Saturday’s RUSH Late Model action will include Muskingum County Speedway, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, Stateline Speedway, Tyler County Speedway, Winchester Speedway and Woodhull Raceway. Sunday evening will find Eriez Speedway hosting the RUSH Late Model action.

RUSH Pro Mod competitors are scheduled for action Saturday at Stateline Speedway. RUSH Sprint Car and Sportsman Modified competitors have two nights or racing action scheduled this weekend. Both classes will be in action Friday at Tri-City Raceway Park and then travel to Sharon Speedway for Saturday night action.

Let’s hope that Mother Nature continues to provide ample sunshine and warmer temperatures so that we can all get our fill of RUSH racing action.
