Dillon Tidmore Takes Second Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series Win of 2025 at North Alabama Speedway

(TUSCUMBIA, ALABAMA) Dillon Tidmore, of Gadsden, Alabama, secured his second Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Franklin Enterprises victory of the 2025 season on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway! Dillon, who clicked off the quickest time in Group B and overall during VP Racing Fuels qualifying, started from the outside of the front row in the 50-lap headliner. He then swept around early race leader Christian Hanger to grab the point on lap twelve and held off several hard chargers towards the end of the feature distance to bag the $5,000 first place prize money.

Youngster Brayden Skinner, who started twelfth on the grid, finished only 0.419 of a second behind Tidmore at the checkers to earn an impressive runner-up effort. Series point leader Billy Franklin, who won on Friday night at West Alabama Speedway, charged from his fourteenth starting spot to round out the podium in third. Ninth-starting Josh Henry passed five competitors to land in the fourth position, while Kendall Franklin improved three spots during the course of the race to record a fifth place finish. Polesitter Christian Hanger, who led the first eleven circuits, retired after 31 laps while running a strong second.

“I knew we were good from the jump,” quoted Tidmore in Victory Lane at the Tuscumbia, Alabama venue. “We just had to be patient and we finally got the lead (from Hanger) there. The victory means a ton, we couldn’t keep going up and down the road unless we got a couple of these a year. Thanks to all of our great sponsors for making this possible!”

Tidmore’s #38 Longhorn Chassis was powered by a Jay Dickens Racing Engine and was sponsored in part by Big D’s Sports Bar & Grill, A&G Excavation, CK Reid Trucking, Tidmore Construction, Payne’s Lawn Care, All Foam Solutions, Elite Motorsports, Atkins Appraisal, J&R Lumber & Supply Company, Batey and Sanders Fabrication, and Seawright Motorsports.

At North Alabama Speedway on Saturday, a total of 22 Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series competitors were in the pit area for round seven of the tour. Race winner Dillon Tidmore also topped both MRP Fantasy League hot laps and VP Racing Fuels qualifying. The feature grid for the 50-lapper was set solely on times from the qualifying session and Christian Hanger led the field to green in the A-Main by virtue of clicking off the fastest lap in Group A.

Eight caution flags slowed the pace at North Alabama Speedway with the most serious incident occurring on the fifth lap. Former series champion Ronnie Johnson and Braden Mitchell were involved in a double rollover wreck that necessitated a red flag situation, but fortunately neither driver was injured. The 50-lap feature lasted nearly 50 minutes with ten starters completing the entire distance.

Next up for the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Franklin Enterprises will be a trip to Lavonia Speedway on Saturday night, June 14. Another $5,000 paycheck will be up for grabs at the historic Lavonia, Georgia oval. Billy Franklin will bring a commanding point lead into the event next month, as he leads his son Kendall Franklin by 82 markers. Ronnie Johnson, Joe Denby, Michael Luna, and Dillon Tidmore sit third through sixth in points respectively.
