Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series Rolls into Lavonia Speedway to Sanction Brad York Memorial
(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) The eighth round of Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Franklin Enterprises competition will take place on Saturday night, June 14 at Lavonia Speedway. The ‘Brad York Memorial’ will be held at the Lavonia, Georgia oval this weekend and a $5,000 paycheck will be on the line for the SAS Super Late Models. Billy Franklin brings an 82 point lead in the latest series point standings into Lavonia Speedway, while his son Kendall Franklin, Hall of Famer Ronnie Johnson, Joe Denby, and Michael Luna round out the top five.
In the seven races held so far in 2025, there have been five different winners. Only Dillon Tidmore (Winder-Barrow Speedway, North Alabama Speedway) and Cory Hedgecock (I-75 Raceway, Penton Raceway) have reached victory lane twice this year. Single race winners on the SAS tour include Joseph Joiner (Southern Raceway), Ryan Crane (Southern Raceway), and Billy Franklin (West Alabama Speedway).
The pit gates will open at 3:00pm on Saturday, while both the grandstands and trackside area will start to allow patrons into the historic facility at 5:00pm. The drivers meeting is set for 6:30pm and hot laps will take to the racetrack starting at 7:00pm. Adult grandstand admission will be $25.00, while adults will be admitted into both the pit area and trackside area for $40.00. Kids ages 12 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE.
Joining the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series on the ‘Brad York Memorial’ racing card will be the 602 Late Model ($1,200 to win), Street Stock ($600 to win), Stock Car Challenge ($600 to win), and Stock 4 ($500 to win) divisions. Rounding out the action at the end of the evening will be a 100-lap Southern Nationals Enduro Series event paying $2,500 to the winner. There will be a $150.00 entry fee for the Enduros. A reminder that only Rear Wheel Drive cars are allowed and all four wheels and tires must be the same size. Top five payout with a guaranteed purse. Harris Speedway rules apply.

Body rules and the Droop Rule will be the same as those agreed on by both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series among others. Any driver not advancing into the 50-lap feature event will receive $75.00 in tow money.
