Gibson Leads Every Lap for $1,000 Ohio Valley SCDRA Win at Jackson County
Jerry “Rooster” Gibson of Crittenden, Kentucky had a perfect night at Jackson County Speedway on Friday, June 6th—winning the Mullins Racing & Performance Fast Time Award, taking his heat race, and leading every lap of the main event to earn the $1,000-to-win Ohio Valley SCDRA victory. Gibson had to work for it, holding off several strong challenges from Ethan Vernon along the way.
The win marked Gibson’s second career Ohio Valley SCDRA triumph, his first coming at Paragon Speedway last season.
Christopher Meyer, Kevin Willis, and Austin Gatwood rounded out the top five.
Fourteen-year-old Bryson Ball of Vinton, Ohio, earned the R&H Photography Hard Charger Award after advancing 11 positions to finish 8th.
The Ohio Valley SCDRA returns to action on Saturday, June 14th, 2025, at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia for a $1,000-to-win, $100-to-start event.
