By: Ron Szczerba

Fonda, NY – After a phenomenal Memorial Day weekend Sunday of action at the Weedsport Speedway, the A-Verdi Storage Containers CRSA Sprints are set to follow that up with its lone trip to the Fonda Speedway in 2025 for round two of the I-90 Pit Stop Challenge.

Stretch's Lawn & Landscape presents the only 2025 CRSA Sprint Car appearance plus all weekly divisions this Saturday, May 31 at Fonda including the Amsterdam Truck Center Modifieds, Swagger Factory Apparel Sportsman, Leatherstocking Credit Union Pro Stocks, Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman, and Fonda Fair Four Cylinders.

Saturday will mark the 31st time the CRSA 305 Sprints have pushed off at Fonda, with its first event run back in 2009. In the 30 previous events held there have been 14 different winning drivers led by Mike Kiser, local favorite Danny Varin, and Jordan Hutton who all have four CRSA wins apiece at Fonda.

Josh Pieniazek, Cory Sparks, and Jeff Trombley all have three CRSA victories apiece at Fonda while Kyle Smith is a two time winner at the “Track of Champions.” Dylan Swiernik, John Matrafailo, Tyler Rice, Jordan Thomas, Brett Jaycox, Josh Flint, and Tomy Moreau all have one CRSA 305 Sprint victory apiece at Fonda.

Both Jeff Trombley and Danny Varin are no strangers to victory lane at Fonda in other divisions besides Sprint cars as Trombley has a total of 35 Modified wins and one 358-Modified win while Varin has 12 Modified wins along with one Open Sportsman victory.

The CRSA 305 Sprint cars have raced a total of three times so far in 2025 leading up to this Saturday’s event at Fonda with Jeff Trombley (Outlaw Speedway), Dillon Paddock (Woodhull Speedway), and Bobby Parrow (Weedsport Speedway) the winners of those events. The current point standings are led by Jordan Hutton (490), followed in the top five by Zach Sobotka (476), Dillon Paddock (469), Dalton Herrick (462), and Alysha Bay (453).
