Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series Resets Events at Needmore, Penton and Senoia

WOODRUFF, SC (May 23, 2025) – The Southern Thunder™ Super Dirt Series announced make-up dates today for events that were lost due to weather and other mitigating factors earlier this month. "We have been very careful to be smart with our scheduling, so we wanted to make sure we looked at all these dates from a 30,000-foot view. We feel like we have found the best possible dates for our teams and our racetracks," said STSDS General Manager Kelley Carlton.

The Series will now visit Penton (Ala.) Raceway for the Danny Carswell Memorial on Friday night, July 25, prior to the Alfred Gurley Memorial Twin 25s at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Saturday. Originally slated for May 17, the $5,000-to-win sixth annual Gene Mane Memorial will now take place at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) on Saturday, July 12. Finally, the Peach Blossom Special at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 4.

Additionally, the series has removed events on June 7 and November 21–22 at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Ga.) from the schedule.
