Jedrzejek tops GLSS field, Woodling wins his second Modified feature, and Sherman stays perfect in Thunderstocks at Limaland.
Limaland Motorsports Park hosted the annual Memorial Cup presented by Ohio Logistics on Friday Night, honoring the fallen members of the racing community and the fallen heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.
It was Warsaw Indiana’s Dylan Woodling picking up his second win on the season in the Bath Masters DIRTcar UMP Modified feature, with Kasey Jedrzejek bagging the GLSS Ohio CAT Sprint Car A Main, and Todd Sherman won his fourth consecutive Lock Sixteen Thunderstock A Main of the season, staying undefeated thus far in 2025.
Kicking off feature action were the Bath Masters DIRTcar UMP Modifieds in their 20 lap feature event. No. 3W Dylan Woodling and No. 22T Tony Anderson would make up the front row at the start, but it was all Woodling from the get go. The caution flag waved only once, bunching the field back together for a second 10 lap run, but Woodling proved too strong on this night, winning over No. 78 Andy Welch, No. 34X Shane O’Connor, No. 65 Todd Sherman, and No. 16 Jeff Koz.
Next were the GLSS Ohio CAT Sprint Cars in their 25 lap feature event. Last week’s feature winner No. 71 Max Stambaugh, and No 11N Kasey Jedrzejek led the field to green with No. 17 Jared Horstman pulling the trigger on a big slide job in turns 3 and 4 to take the lead briefly only for Jedrzejek to cross over on the front stretch and regain the lead. Jedrzejek would find himself in lapped traffic on lap 7, and this allowed Horstman and the rest of the front runners to close the gap until the red flag flew on lap 8 for Harrod Ohio’s Jac Nickles getting into the backstretch wall and upside down in the No. 31. Nickles would walk away from the crash, but his race was over for the night. No. 85 Dustin Daggett sustained heavy damage to his top wing during the crash and went to the work area but was unable to rejoin the field before the green flew once again. Jedrzejek would power away once again with the lead and would find lapped traffic once again on lap 13. As luck would have it, the caution would clear the track in front of Jedrzejek’s No. 11N on lap 18. On the restart Jedrzejek would pull away and get to traffic once again on lap 22, allowing now second place Nate Dussel to close slightly. Jedrzejek would pick up the win over Dussel, Horstman, Stambaugh and No. 29 Zeth Sabo completing the top 5.
Wrapping up the night were the Lock Sixteen Thunderstocks with their 15 lap A Main. No. 60 Todd Sherman would dominate from the drop of the green flag, picking up his fourth straight victory. No. J1 Jeff Matheny finished second with No. 22T Tony Anderson third, No. 82 Chris Douglas fourth, and UNOH Racer Eric Kinney would complete the top five in his first start in the UNOH No. 00.
Please join us next Friday May 30th for the 23rd Annual Keysor Memorial presented by the Keysor Family. The Lock Sixteen Thunderstocks will compete for a top prize of $2000 to win. Also in action will be the Great Lakes and the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series Non Wing Sprints in a Non Wing showdown.
