Tri-City Raceway Park Hoping for Sunshine and High-Speed Action in June

FRANKLIN, PA (June 3, 2025) – After a soggy May that saw only one show escape the clutches of Mother Nature on Friday nights, Tri-City Raceway Park is optimistic that June will bring better weather and the return of Friday night thrills. Race fans can look forward to an exciting slate of action this week, headlined by the BRP Modified Tour making its second appearance of the season.
Rex King Jr., fresh off a win on Opening Night, will be gunning for his second BRP victory of the year and his third overall at the half-mile oval. He’ll face tough competition from the likes of Erick Rudolph, who claimed the other Big Block Modified win at Tri-City this season. The division is proudly sponsored by 21st Century Energy Group. Some of the other top Big Block Drivers expected to be there this week include, Brad Rapp, Tyler Willard, Garrett Krummert, Dave Murdick, Jeremiah Shingledecker, Rick Regalski and several other drivers who follow the BRP Mod Tour.
Joining the Modifieds will be the Hovis Auto and Truck Supply 410 Sprint Cars, featuring a deep roster of talent. So far this season, A.J. Flick, Ricky Peterson Jr., and Steven Snyder Jr. have each taken home a checkered flag. Jeremy Weaver has been knocking on the door and looking for to get back into victory lane for the first time in nearly a year.
Brandon Matus has had strong runs also, so there could be a fourth different winner in four races.
The Flea Flicker LLC Super Late Models will crown a new winner this Friday with Max Blair competing elsewhere. That opens the door for a first-time 2025 victor in the division. there are a few guys who could end their night in the Hovis Auto and Truck Supply victory lane, Jon Lee, Matt Tifft, Darrel Bossard could be the leading contenders to get the job done.

In Shawgo Real Estate Pro Stock competition, veteran Bobby Whitling is looking to extend his winning streak to three straight and add to his track record 63 wins. Mike Miller scored the victory back on April 18th and will be aiming to return to form. Plus, there's several other drivers in this division who could end their night celebrating, Pat Fielding, Jake Whitling, Andy Buckley, Hunter Exley, Curt J Bish to name a few.

The Complete Car Care Center RUSH Sprint Cars are heating up with Blaze Myers grabbing two wins already this season, while Gale Ruth Jr. picked up the other. Defending track champion John Mollick is still looking for his first at the Venango County track this year, Cooper Fritz has been strong and led some laps he could be primed for his first Rush win.

Over in the Clarion County Community Bank RUSH Stock Cars, the competition is wide open as Billy Myers and William Baker have each captured wins in the two races held so far. This new division continues to gain cars, but the on-track action has been fun to watch with Raidden Wilson, Cameron Kramer also right there battling Myers and Baker down to the wire in their first two features this season.
