Blown motor ends Charlotte trip, finishes second at Patriots Park

Parker Martin made the trek to the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) on Friday night to take part in the Drydene World Short Track Championship. With 51 DIRTcar Late Models registered, Martin blew a motor in hot laps that brought an early end to his trip to North Carolina.

On Sunday, Martin headed to Patriots Park Raceway (Dublin, Ga.) for the $1,500-to-win A-Main. Reeling in a podium finish in the feature, Parker notched a second place finish behind Mark Whitener.
