CJ Horn claims first win of 2025 at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway.
CJ Horn wasted little time in reaching Victory Lane in 2025, securing his first win of the season in just his third start behind the wheel of the Horn Racing Engines / Roberts Tire Center No. 01 Rocket Chassis Late Model.
Horn’s tripleheader weekend began Friday at Scotland County Speedway (Memphis, Mo.) with the Malvern Bank East Series season opener. After advancing to the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a fourth-place heat finish, Horn struggled to find speed in the feature and slipped to 13th at the checkered flag.
Saturday brought a stronger showing at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, IA), where Horn charged from sixth to second in his heat before recording a solid seventh-place finish in the main event.
Horn closed out the weekend in dominant fashion on Sunday at Dubuque (IA) Fairgrounds Speedway. After securing a front-row starting position by virtue of a heat race victory, he seized the lead on lap 13 and maintained control for the remainder of the 25-lapper, cruising to his first win of the year.
He crossed the finish line 2.385 seconds ahead of runner-up Clay Simpson, with Curtis Clover completing the podium.
