Horn adds podiums at Davenport and Independence
CJ Horn made the most of a rain-altered race weekend, collecting a pair of podium finishes in Iowa Late Model competition.
With his original plans at Fayette County Speedway washed out, Horn shifted gears and opened his weekend Friday at Davenport Speedway. He charged from third to first in his heat race, then backed it up with a solid third-place finish in the 25-lap feature.
On Saturday at Independence Motor Speedway, Horn secured his spot in the A-Main with a fourth-place heat result. He then delivered his best performance of the weekend—advancing eight positions in the feature to finish second in the 25-lapper.
Horn was set to wrap up his weekend Sunday at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway, but rain intervened once again, canceling the program after he had recorded a second-place finish in his heat race.
