Fourth-place finish in Independence's Malvern Bank East Series stop
CJ Horn opened his doubleheader weekend across Iowa on Saturday evening as the Malvern Bank East Series rolled into Independence Motor Speedway.
While most competitors were wrapping up their weekend, Horn was just getting started—posting the fastest time in qualifying against a 26-car field. After a sixth-place effort in his heat race, CJ posted a fourth-place finish in the $3,500-to-win feature. He trailed only Dallon Murty, Chad Simpson, and Jesse Hobbing at the checkered flag, with Tad Pospisil rounding out the top five in the 30-lapper.
Horn’s weekend wrapped up on Sunday at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway, where he delivered another strong performance. After placing sixth in his heat race, he charged from 11th-to-6th in the feature to cap a consistent weekend.
