Top-10 finish in Nippy 50 at Maquoketa Speedway
Bloomington, Illinois’ own Jason Feger kicked off his 2025 season this past weekend with the MARS Late Model Championship Series opener at Maquoketa (IA) Speedway.
The back-to-back MARS Series champ stormed into Friday’s lid-lifter with an impressive fourth-to-first run in his heat race. After pulling the pole in the redraw, Feger dropped to 16th at the checkers after sliding over the cushion in turns three and four on lap 15.
In search of revenge on Saturday, Jason squeezed into the $15,000-to-win Nippy 50 finale with a runner-up finish in his consolation race. Pinned on the 10th row, Feger advanced through the field 11 spots in the 50-lap affair to cap off the weekend with a ninth-place finish.
