Top-10 finish in Illinois Valley Showdown at LaSalle Speedway
A doubleheader weekend with the MARS Late Model Championship Series brought Jason Feger to LaSalle Speedway for the Illinois Valley Showdown, beginning with Friday’s Twisted Twin 25.
With two preliminary features on the card, Feger locked into the first A-Main with a second-place finish in his heat race. However, a misstep in tire selection left him settling for seventh in the opening 25-lap feature. He followed up with an eighth-place finish in the second main event.
Returning on Saturday for the $25,000-to-win finale, Feger narrowly secured a spot in the 75-lap feature by grabbing the final transfer position in his heat. Starting deep in the field on the eighth row, he charged forward to gain seven spots and ultimately crossed the line in seventh.
Jason is currently second in the latest MARS point standings.
