Justin Duty closes out July slate at Fairbury

Three nights of racing at Fairbury (Illinois) Speedway were on the docket for Justin Duty over the past week as he made starts in both a FloRacing Night in America program and the Prairie Dirt Classic.

On Wednesday, Duty was one of 66 Super Late Model drivers competing in the One for the Road show as part of the FloRacing Night in America miniseries. He drove his Don Frank Floors No. 15 machine to seventh in his heat race on the quarter-mile oval and moved forward throughout his B-Main to finish fourth. However, he needed another two spots to transfer into the 50-lap, $20,000-to-win main event.

Over the weekend, the field swelled to 78 Super Late Models as the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series-sanctioned Prairie Dirt Classic took center stage.

Duty finished sixth in one of four 25-lap Showdown features on Friday, meaning he was unable to lock himself into the next night's 100-lapper.

On Saturday, Duty barely missed a transfer spot with a third-place result in his Last Chance Showdown. He went on to finish as runner-up in the Prairie Dirt Shootout, ending his evening just shy of the $50,000-to-win A-Main.
