McKay Wenger scores a pair of MARS top-10's

A doubleheader weekend in Illinois brought McKay Wenger to Quincy Raceway on Friday night for the MARS Late Model Championship Series opener.

After slipping two spots to finish fifth in his heat race, Wenger rebounded in the 40-lap feature, advancing five positions to notch a seventh-place finish on a track that took rubber late.

Showing more speed on Saturday at Highland Speedway, Wenger raced into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a heat race victory. Lined up on the second row after the redraw, he went on to secure a solid sixth-place finish.
