Lance Todd Debuts in the Hobby Stock Division
Eagle, Nebraska: Lance Todd Racing ushered in a new era and the start of their 2017 season as Lance ventured to Eagle Raceway in his brand new Charger Chassis Hobby Stock prepared by LanceBuilt. His work was cut out for him as he started at the tail of the heat. With a stout field and continuous three wide racing he fought his way to the outside and was able to jump up to second place taking the checkered flag behind eventual feature winner and fellow Charger Chassis team mate Jeff Ware. "That was a ton of fun! I can't thank everyone enough who has helped me get this car ready for this year." Todd exclaimed.
With the track narrowing up by feature time the LanceBuilt Graphix Monte SS started in the 11th position. Being pinned down to the bottom cost him a few spots at the start but by the first caution Lance was able to move back up to the 11th spot. With not much room to pass and many evenly matched cars made for tough advancement. After a late slip up and rallying finish the Lance Todd Racing team finished in the 12th spot.
"All in all it was a great first night," Todd said. "We had a really fast car, much faster than the driver thats for sure. With a narrow track it was tough to find a place to past. We'll regroup and make some changes and be back ready to go. I want to be sure to thank my wife Stephanie for putting up with me working on the car this winter, my mom and dad for all their support, my sponsors LanceBuilt Graphix for the awesome looking car, MyRacePass, Speedway Motors, Clive Bannister Speed Plant, and everyone else that has gotten me this far."
Lance will be back in action on May 27th at Eagle Raceway.
