Best Run of The Season For LTR

What a night! Starting from the outside front row, Lance Todd drove the LanceBuilt Grpahix #7L out to an early lead and hold off the charging #85 of Albert Kiihne in the later laps to claim his first heat race win of the season. "The car was really fast in the heat, I over drove one corner to allow Kiihne to get beside me. We had a great race there for a few laps and we got the win."

Come feature time Lance started outside front row again, after getting a great start the field was slowed on the first lap which reset the field. On the second restart the #7L jumped out to a sizable advantage only to be slowed once again a few laps later allowing the point leaders of Roy Armstrong and Jeff Ware to catch up. Todd and Armstrong had a close battle for several laps but the veteran proved too fast and pulled away. Ware would get by a few laps later and the three paced the field to the checkers with Armstrong, Ware, and Todd the top three.

"Man that was a lot of fun! We've had such a string of bad luck lately and to come out and get the heat win and to lead for a while and race with the best around was a blast. Those two are leading the points and have ten features between them so I'm not going to be too disappointed."
