Dippman wins second Keysor Memorial in Thunderstocks at Limaland

With the threat of rain once again in the forecast, Limaland Motorsports Park once again had to rush the show along, but not before Craig Dippman could pick up his second Keysor Memorial victory. In mpd Racing B.O.S.S. Non Wing vs GLTS Sprint car action, it was Brayden Clark winning a wild 25 lap A Main. Dalton Lane picked up his first career Limaland win on the Bath Masters UMP Modifieds, and Rolly Heyder continued his winning ways in the Dirt Track Truck Series feature.

The Lock Sixteen Thunderstocks took center stage in the 23rd Annual Keysor Memorial presented by the Keysor Family. $2000 awaited the winner of the 15 lap feature honoring the Keysor family members who have raced at Limaland since the 1950s. No. 22T Tony Anderson and No. 8 Zacch Rush would lead the field to green with Rush leading early before losing power steering and fading late in the race. No. 74D Craig Dippman charged to the point near the halfway point and would win over No. 26 Justin Long, No. 60 Todd Sherman, No. 17H Devon Helmig, and No. 27 Frank Paladino

Next up was the 25 lap mpd Racing B.O.S.S. Non Wing vs GLTS Non Wing Sprint Car feature. As the field came to green, the skies opened up and started to sprinkle rain, but that didn’t hamper the action on the racetrack as the top six cars battled tooth and nail in a battle for supremacy, with No. 4 Brayden Clark holding on to win over a late charging No. 1H Korbyn Hayslett, No 4J Shawn Westerfield, No. 77 Saban Bibent, and No 49 Brian Ruhlman.

The Bath Masters DIRTcar UMP Modifeds were next in their 20 lap A Main. No. 14 Dalton Lane would hold off challenges from No. 3W Dylan Woodling, No. 65 Todd Sherman, No. 34X Shane O’Connor, and No. 82 Brennan Sherman to win his first ever Limaland DIRTcar UMP Modified feature.

The 12 Lap Dirt Track Truck Series would complete the night with No. 10 Rolly Heyder picking up yet another victory at Limaland, but his son Joey limped home second after having a throttle linkage issue on the final lap while leading. No. 22T Tony Anderson would finish third, with No. 13 Brandon Coleman fourth, and No. 17 Phil Hicks completing the top 5.

Limaland Motorsports Park is back in action next Friday June 6th with the K&L Ready Mix Clash/Ron Kahle Jr. Memorial Race presented by K&L Ready Mix. In action will be the Great Lakes Super Sprints Ohio CAT Sprint Cars, the Bath Masters DIRTcar UMP Modifleds, and the Lock Sixteen Thunderstocks.
