Stambaugh wins Kahle Memorial, UNOH Racer Hinds picks up second Modified win of season, Anderson breaks through in Thunderstocks at Limaland

Limaland Motorsports Park beat the weather once again on Friday night as the K&L Ready Mix Clash/Ron Kahle Jr. Memorial took place at the quarter-mile speedplant. Elida Ohio’s Max Stambaugh picked up his third Limaland win of the season in the Great Lakes Super Sprints Ohio CAT Sprints feature, while UNOH Racer Aiden Hinds won his second Bath Masters DIRTcar UMP Modified A Main of the year, and Lima native Tony Anderson picked up the Lock Sixteen Thunderstock victory, the 407th win of his racing career.
Kicking off racing action were the Bath Masters DIRTcar UMP Modifieds in their 20 lap feature event. No. 32 Scott Boyd Jr. and No. 3W would make up the front row as the field came to green, but caution would wave on lap 2 as the No. 16 of Jeff Koz got stacked up with the No. 65 Todd Sherman, No. 11 Dylan Drake, and No. 34x Shane O’Connor. O’Connor would lose the right rear tire in turn 4 on lap 5, bringing out the caution once again. On the restart, No. 9PG Percy Gendreau, No. 9C Troy Cattarene and No. 1X JJ Butler would get together, and spin, bringing the caution out once again. Hinds, began his charge to the front, grabbing third position on lap 5, and followed Dylan Woodling to get to second on lap 7. Hinds made his move for the lead on lap 13, and pulled away from Woodling to pick up his second win of the year. Woodling would finish second, with No. 14 Dalton Lane third, No. 32 Scott Boyd Jr fourth and No. 78 Andy Welch would complete the top 5.
The Great Lakes Super Sprints Ohio CAT Sprint Cars were next in their 25 lap feature event. No. 12 Corbin Gurley and No. 11G Luke Griffith would lead the field to green, with Gurley grabbing the early lead. No. 17 Jared Horstman powered to the lead on lap 2 down the backstretch. Horstman set a blistering pace until lap 7, when he smacked the back stretch wall. It appeared everything was ok until the leaders got in to lapped traffic. Horstman came to a stop in turn 2 with a flat right front tire, bringing out the caution flag. On the restart, No. 7C Phil Gressman and No. 12 Gurley battled for the lead until No. 11N Kasey Jedrzejek hammered the backstretch wall and nearly got upside down, coming to a stop in turn 3. When the green flag waved, Gressman took the lead with No. 71H Max Stambaugh worked his way around Gurley for second and set his sights on Gressman. As the leaders began to work through traffic on lap 20, Stambaugh closed in on the tail tank of the 7C and made his move on lap 22, and pulled away for his 4th GLSS win, and his third of the season at Limaland. Gressman would finish second, with Gurley third, No. 37 Noah Dunlap with a fourth place finish, and No. 85 Dustin Daggett completed the top 5.

The Lock Sixteen Thunderstocks completed the night with their 15 lap feature event. No. 1 Houston Null, and No. 82 Chris Douglas would bring the field to green. Douglas would take the early lead with Null keeping him in striking distance, until lap 5 when Null spun to avoid a lapped car, bringing out the caution. On the restart, Douglas set sail and appeared to be on his way to victory, but lapped traffic bit him too as he spun from the lead on lap 11 avoiding a lapped car. No. 22T Tony Anderson would inherit the lead and survive a 4 lap dash to the finish, picking up his first win of the season over a charging No. 60 Todd Sherman. No. 74D Craig Dippman was third, No. 26 Justin Long fourth and UNOH Racer Eric Kinney completed the top five in the UNOH No. 00
