Casey Starr Racing to Take More Time Off Due to Injury
2 weeks ago at Cottage Grove Speedway, Casey was injured in what looked to be like a minor jump off the track but turned to out to be something that would delay the racing season once again. Casey suffered from a compression injury to her back and is still recovering. While the recovery process is looking promising, it is a slow process. The muscles in her back are just not ready to return back to their regular and normal function thus leaving us no choice but to take more time off. Casey Starr Racing will not be racing this Saturday at Sunset Speedway but Casey and pit crew member Scotty Fox will be in attendance to support the track and fellow racers. This is not how we saw our race season going and it is not the decision we wanted to make but it had to be done.
We hope to make our return to racing at Sunset Speedway on August 12th for driver appreciation night giving Casey some more time to heal correctly. In the mean time we are still taking preorders for Casey Starr Racing t-shirts so please get ahold of us if you are interested in those. We hope to see you out at Sunset Speedway this weekend for the Open Wheel Frenzy. There will be sprint cars, midgets, dwarfs and micros racing and it'll be a night you won't want to miss!
