Runner-up finish in FALS Cup at Fairbury Speedway
McKay Wenger followed the DIRTcar Summer Nationals this past week as the tour invaded Iowa’s Davenport Speedway.
After finishing fifth in both his heat race and the B-Main, Wenger utilized a provisional to start the 30-lap feature. He gained four positions during the main event to finish 17th.
Returning to action Saturday at Fairbury Speedway for a FALS Cup event, Wenger clocked the eighth-fastest qualifying time before securing a runner-up finish in his heat. Carrying that momentum into the $2,500-to-win feature, he drove to a strong second-place finish in the 30-lap affair, joining race winner Mike Spatola and third-place finisher Rich Bell on the podium.
