12th-place result for Ward at Huset’s Speedway

On Wednesday, the Silver Dollar Nationals kicked off at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, where Morgan Ward was part of an impressive 46-car Tri-State Late Model Series field on hand for the Ben Nothdurft Memorial.

Ward began her evening by qualifying her LiftGator No. 37JR Late Model fifth in her group on the 3/8-mile oval. After taking fifth in her heat, she raced from fifth to second in her B-Main to earn a spot in the 30-lap, $6,000-to-win feature.

She started 21st in the main event and climbed nine positions to finish 12th.
