Herrington takes tumble at Eldora Speedway during Dirt Late Model Dream
Opening up the weekend with a $20,000-to-win FloRacing show, Wil Herrington was one of 85 Super Late Models at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Wednesday evening for the 31st-annual Dirt Late Model Dream.
Herrington was unable to make the opener on Wednesday and diverted his attention to his preliminary night on Thursday. After qualifying seventh-fastest in his group, Wil hit the invert just right and started on the front-row of his heat race. Herrington earned the pole in the $30,000-to-win preliminary feature after winning his heat race and led the first nine circuits in the 50-lap feature. On a restart, Herrington nailed the curb and took a slow rollover which ended his night.
On Saturday night, Wil started on the front-row of a last chance showdown but was caught up in a wreck once again which sent him home early.
